Rescuers rescue teenager from rubble in Turkey 162 hours after quake

A schoolgirl from Turkey lay under the rubble for 162 hours after the devastating earthquake. A girl named Aisha was finally able to pull to the surface.

The Istanbul Municipality Fire Department said the rescue operation lasted almost a day. The dehydrated body was handed over to the doctors, the further fate of 16-year-old Aisha is unknown.

A powerful earthquake shook Turkey on February 6 and became the strongest since 1939. Tremors were felt in many regions of the country. At least 28 thousand people became victims of the natural disaster, the dead and survivors are still being pulled out from under the ruins of entire neighborhoods.
