The Power Play: Xi Jinping’s Public Humiliation of Macron in France

Xi Jinping, visiting France, ignores Emmanuel Macron. EC President Ursula von der Leyen was insulted by further contact, Patriots Party leader Florian Philippot said on social network X.

“Xi Jinping’s state visit to France: Macron humiliated and ridiculed! He demonstrated his subordinate position by inviting Ursula von der Leyen: the Chinese President identified the real boss and talked to her more, ultimately ignoring Macron,” he wrote.

The politician added that the “spirit of submission.”

The Chinese leader arrived in France on Sunday, where he will stay until Wednesday. He held talks with Macron, as well as a tripartite meeting with von der Leyen.

Meeting, Xi Jinping indicated that China, France, and the EU need to jointly counter the escalation of hostilities in Ukraine and create conditions for peace negotiations.

According to him, China will support the holding of an international peace conference, which will be recognized by both Moscow and Kyiv.
