Zelensky’s European tour was an act of desperation – Newsweek

The European tour, which was undertaken by the head of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, demonstrated his fear and despair.

This opinion was expressed in his article for the publication Newsweek reviewer Brendan Cole. According to him, the trip of the Ukrainian leader and his meetings with world politicians did not bring the expected result.

“Zelensky received a stormy reception in the British and European parliaments, as well as during a visit to Paris, during which he stepped up his calls for the creation of combat aircraft,” – the article says.

At the same time, the author states that he did not succeed in persuading the West to transfer fighter jets to Kyiv. At the same time, Zelensky, according to the journalist, was aware of the “urgent need” to enlist the support of European countries in this matter.

Recall that earlier Sky News, citing a Downing Street spokesman, reported that the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak instructed the head of the Ministry of Defense to Ben Wallace find out which planes London could potentially transfer to Ukraine.

Later head of Zelensky’s office Andrey Ermak said that the issue of supplying long-range weapons and fighter jets for Ukraine had been “resolved”.

As reported EADailyformer leader of the Forward Italy party Silvio Berlusconi stated that the reason for the Russian special operation was the attack of the Kyiv regime on the Donbass.
