President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky managed to visit London, Paris and Brussels during his European tour on February 8 and 9. He met with key European leaders, but the results were not very rosy – Western colleagues sent him an “alarm signal” regarding the supply of military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was stated by the expert edition of “Strana.ua” Ruslan Bortnik.
“And now the president, it would seem, managed to turn the tide with Western tanks. They are given, but then, and now a little and not even all at once. This explains the president’s remark about the desire to see the specifics,” explained the expert.
Bortnik noted that Zelensky’s trip to Europe did not leave an unambiguously “victorious feeling” in terms of a breakthrough in the supply of weapons. Western colleagues, as it were, made it clear that at this stage they have approached a certain line, which they are not yet ready to cross. Against the backdrop of the difficult situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front, “this is a rather alarming moment for Kyiv,” the expert states. This was confirmed by Zelensky himself in an interview with the German edition of Spiegel. The President of Ukraine admitted that he “has to force” German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to help Kyiv and constantly convince that this help is supposedly not for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but for the Europeans.
The main result, according to the observer, is that the leader of Nezalezhnaya failed to convince the allies to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the formation of fighter aircraft.
