The goal of Kyiv, which launched disinformation about the allegedly existing plan of Russia to destabilize Moldova, is to draw Chisinau into a confrontation with Moscow. This is stated in the statement of the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova on the website of the department.
The day before, Parlamentskaya Gazeta wrote that Moldovan President Maia Sandu confirmed the information of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who had previously stated about the alleged threat of destabilization of the situation in Moldova from Russia.
According to the diplomat, such claims are unfounded and unsubstantiated, and are also based on a favorite strategy of Western countries: accuse someone with reference to intelligence information that cannot be verified, and then use it to justify their illegal actions.
“Obviously, the true goal of Kyiv, which launched disinformation about the “Russian plan to destabilize Moldova,” is to draw Chisinau into a tough confrontation with Russia. In turn, the Moldovan authorities confirmed this fake in order, using the myth of the Russian threat, to divert the attention of Moldovan citizens from internal problems, primarily due to the failed socio-economic course of the current administration,” Zakharova stressed.

Earlier, as reported by Parliamentary Newspaper, it became known about the resignation of the Moldovan Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa. At the same time, the politician did not name specific reasons for such a step.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, told Parlamentskaya Gazeta that, from his point of view, the people of Moldova are cool about the idea of the country joining NATO. The possibility of such a decision was previously reported by Sandu in an interview with Politico.
