Within the framework of the round table of the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISI) on the topic “DNA of Russia: Foundations of Statehood”, the participants discussed the significance of the project for the present and future of our country, as well as intermediate results.
“One of the parts of the work of the project led to the participation in the creation of the document “On the Foundations of the State Policy for the Preservation of Traditional Values”, — said Alexander Asafov, a member of the Public Chamber of Moscow.
Now experts are developing a teaching aid for the course “Fundamentals of Russian Statehood.” Three key blocks include the development strategy of Russia, the socio-political characteristics of the Russian Federation as a special civilization, as well as the value-ideological consensus and its parameters.
According to MSU professor Andrey Polosin, the project is based on a certain set of concepts. The hypothesis of the “DNA of Russia” is that citizens form a personal idea of the present of the country, as well as options for the implementation by us, the bearers of our cultural values, of ideas in the future.
EISI Deputy Executive Director for Strategy and Forecasting Ekaterina Sokolova added that this project will help form a working system of knowledge, skills and abilities of our citizens.
“The fact is that young people remotely understand the political structure of the country, right down to why the State Duma is needed. This is a problem for the development of civil society, so it is very important to explain such things and form certain values, as dictated by the presidential decree,” the expert stressed.
