In this way, the police-administration did not even expect thousands of youths to join the movement, but seeing this crowd, the administration also lost its hands and feet. During this, the angry agitators pelted stones at the police, while the police also left no stone unturned to lathicharge these people.
What is the demand of the students?
For a long time anger was brewing among the youth regarding rigging in the recruitment examinations held in Uttarakhand. The unemployed organization had also placed before the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami other demands including CBI inquiry into the rigging of recruitments. There is a demand of the youth that the candidates who bought papers by paying and gave papers should not be included in this examination. The government should cancel these exams. Until the CBI probe into the rigging is done, the examinations should not be conducted. At the same time, the youth have also accused the policemen who came to pick up the agitators forcibly late on Wednesday night. The agitators have raised the demand to suspend those policemen as well.
However, during the dharna, the leaders of the movement kept on appealing that we do not have to fight with the administration, nor do we have to spread any kind of chaos. Despite this, some people pelted stones and lathicharge was also done because of them.
Number of students may increase
Even after this fierce movement, if the government does not accept the demands of these unemployed, then their number is expected to increase further. If so many people were on the streets today, then possibly tomorrow their number may triple and even quadruple. Which can also become a headache for the Dhami government. The rigging in the recruitment examinations in the state is being exposed one after the other, due to which there is resentment among the youth. If this anger was being created in this way, the movement of the youth would become a trap around the neck of the government. The involvement of the BJP leader’s son in the Ankita Bhandari murder case, one after the other recruitment examination paper leak, agitation for compensation to the displaced people due to Joshimath landslide, etc., has brought the government into disrepute.
Leaders of Congress, Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, Aam Aadmi Party also reached to shine their politics in this movement but their breads could not sink. The youth neither gave the leadership of their movement to anyone nor appealed to anyone. He said that if the youth power is united then the government will have to bow down.
CM Dhami appealed
Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister Uttarakhand
The youth sitting in the movement said that last night they were protesting peacefully, then the police took barbaric action against them. Women candidates were also sitting on dharna along with them but when the police came to pick them up, there were no women policemen with them. The male policemen also removed the women from there. Which is against the rules. The police forcefully took away the president of the unemployed organization, Bobby Panwar, after beating them. Due to which the youth got enraged today.
traffic jam for hours
Even though this movement is going on under the banner of unemployed organization, but thousands of youth gathered there was telling that what form this movement can take if the youth power goes out of control. The people associated with the organization were protesting sitting at one place, while other people formed groups and sat at various places from Aslehall Chowk to Ghantaghar and blocked the roads. Due to which the pressure of traffic on other roads of the city increased further and there was jam for hours all around. DM Sonika and SSP Dalip Singh Kunwar also came there in the afternoon to talk to the agitators but did not get any success.
On the other hand, BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt has said that the leaders of the opposition are trying to mislead and instigate the youth. They will discuss this matter with CM Dhami and will also demand from the CM to take action against the leaders who instigate the youth.
