US Sends Aircraft Carrier to Turkey Earthquake Relief
Washington, 10 February 2023, 23:59 — REGNUM The USS George Bush and its escort ships are sending the United States to the eastern Mediterranean to take part in the aftermath of the earthquake in Turkey. This was announced on February 10 by a Pentagon spokesman. Patrick Ryder during a press briefing.
“The US European Command has sent personnel, equipment and a variety of different means to assist the Turkish government and its search and rescue operations. Among them is the aircraft carrier strike group “George Bush”, deployed to the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, Ryder stated.
It is planned that the aircraft carrier will provide rescuers with logistical and medical assistance. The aircraft carrier’s helicopters will participate in rescue and other work as needed.
