The White House said there was no sign of aliens or extraterrestrial activity after a series of downings of unidentified objects over North American airspace. One was shot down on Friday, two on the weekend.
“I know there have been questions and concerns about this, but again there is no sign of aliens or extraterrestrial activity in connection with these recently downed objects,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said (quoted by Reuters).
A day earlier, the head of the US Northern Command, General Glenn Vanherke, was asked during a briefing if aliens or extraterrestrial civilizations were ruled out in connection with incidents with unidentified objects. “I didn’t rule anything out. At the moment, we continue to evaluate every unknown threat or potential threats that are approaching North America, trying to identify them, ”said the general (quoted from AFP).
A US warplane shot down a Chinese balloon that was suspected of being a spy on February 4, and three unidentified objects were shot down in the following days. Friday over Alaska, Saturday over Canada and Sunday over Lake Huron.
