Russian special operation in Ukraine
The Ural Federal University (UrFU) has developed a layout of a communication system that can prevent interference in the transmission of video from drones on the front of a special operation (SBO). Ivan Malygin, Associate Professor of the University, spoke about this.
“Several years ago, we developed, manufactured and tested a mock-up of a communication system for transmitting video from an aircraft to operate in a tough electronic warfare environment. The noise in the channel is 10 times higher than the signal, while the system continues to transmit video, ”Ivan Malygin wrote on his page on the VKontakte social network.
According to the Ural Federal University assistant professor, now at the front of the SVO, video from drones is transmitted via Wi-Fi, while the signal can be easily detected and destroyed by the drone. Ivan Malygin believes that with the help of the developed system it will be possible to avoid such problems.
The special military operation began on February 24, 2022. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, its goals are the protection of the civilian population of Donbass, the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
