Unknown aircraft shot down off the coast of Alaska

The United States shot down an unknown aircraft off the coast of Alaska. According to the White House on February 11, an object the size of a small car flew at an altitude of about 12 thousand meters and posed a threat to the safety of civilian flights.

Who it belonged to, the White House did not explain. It was reported that the wreckage of the object fell on the sea area covered with ice. Experts expect to collect them.

As reported EADailyFeb. 2 Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder reported a Chinese “reconnaissance balloon” seen in the skies over the US. Later, on February 4, he was shot down by the US military off the coast of South Carolina within US airspace. The Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed regret about this, explaining that the meteorological probe appeared in US airspace due to force majeure.
