Russian special operation in Ukraine

Ukrainian authorities will launch auctions for the sale of confiscated Russian property. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal.

“Today we approved a resolution regulating their sale. We froze and confiscated hundreds of objects that belonged to the Russian government or Russian oligarchs in Ukraine,” Denys Shmyhal said in his telegram channel. He noted that a special auction would be set up to sell the confiscated Russian assets.

Shmyhal specified that foreign citizens would also be able to buy the assets of Russians. Sales will take place on the same principle as small-scale privatization.

Earlier, Shmyhal said that the government of Ukraine receives money from seized Russian assets. He noted that the amount is 7 billion hryvnia (about 462.5 million dollars).
