Uganda expressed a desire to cooperate with Russia in the oil sector

ADDIS ABABA, 19 Feb – Uganda is discussing cooperation with Russia in the oil and nuclear energy sectors, Ugandan Foreign Minister Jeje Odongo said in an interview.
He also noted that Uganda is considering the possibility of Russian support in the development of other energy sources, such as nuclear.
“We have uranium deposits and we are discussing how we can work together to exploit these resources,” said the head of the Ugandan Foreign Ministry.
Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, during a visit to Moscow last July, stated that Russian companies could take part in the exploration of oil resources in this African country.
