The UN General Assembly is discussing a draft anti-Russian resolution on the situation around Ukraine

The draft of a new anti-Russian resolution is being discussed on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, RIA Novosti writes, citing its sources.

The document was drawn up and proposed by Western countries. According to the plans of the authors of the resolution, it should be submitted to the General Assembly for consideration by the anniversary of the start of the special military operation.

The document can be considered on February 22, when the emergency special session of the General Assembly resumes its work. The draft resolution is titled “On the principles underlying a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace in Ukraine”.

According to one of the sources of the agency, a number of points proposed in the document clearly correspond to the plan presented earlier by the President of Ukraine. Vladimir Zelenskywho demanded to give Kyiv the territories reunited with Russia, including Crimea.

As reported IA REGNUMFebruary 12 Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Kuleba said that on February 23 and 24, many political and diplomatic decisions of great importance in world politics could be made in New York.
