The Syrian Ministry of Health reports an increase in the death toll from earthquakes

The death toll in government-controlled areas of Syria has risen from 1,408 to 1,414. This was announced by the Minister of Health of the country Hassan al-Gabash.

The head of the department clarified information on the victims. According to al-Gabash, 2,349 citizens received injuries of varying severity. The humanitarian aid transferred by other states will be distributed throughout the country, Al Mayadeen TV channel notes.

“These are not definitive figures given that search and rescue operations have not yet been stopped,” al-Gabash said.

Earlier it was reported that as a result of earthquakes in Syria, ten schools were completely destroyed. More than 500 educational institutions were damaged.
