The State Duma will discuss a ban on the return of captured dogs to the streets

The bill on the ban on the return of captured dogs to their former habitats was submitted to the State Duma by deputies of the LDPR faction, a correspondent reports. IA REGNUM February 13.

It is assumed that after sterilization and chipping, animals will be kept in shelters until natural death or until they are transferred to new owners.

The adoption of the law will seriously increase the level of security of citizens, parliamentarians are convinced.

“Once on the street, dogs unite in packs, which causes a threat to the population. We believe that a captured dog should be kept in a shelter until the end of its life or transferred to new owners. Our amendments to the legislation will ensure the safety of people, ”said the State Duma deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party Vladimir Koshelev.

Earlier, a package of bills aimed at reducing the number of homeless animals was submitted to the State Duma by the Legislative Assembly of Bashkiria. In particular, it is planned to exterminate stray dogs outside settlements. We are talking about dogs that cause damage to hunting objects and wild animals.
