The Sea of ​​Marmara receded in Istanbul by 15-20 meters. Witnesses posted photos and videos of the incident on social media. The Kandilli Observatory explained that this is not related to the earthquakes that have recently occurred in Turkey. According to them, this was the result of pressure drops.

On the night of February 6, an earthquake devastating for Turkey and Syria occurred. Tens of thousands of people died. According to the World Health Organization, 8.5 thousand people became victims of the earthquake in Syria, including 4.5 thousand people in the territories not controlled by Damascus.
