Targeted training is an effective way to provide Russian bakery enterprises with young professionals. This opinion was expressed by Alexei Kuchumov, Acting Rector of the Russian Biotechnological University.
The head of Rosbiotech spoke at the round table “Training for the food (baking) industry: the current system and new realities”, which was held as part of the business program of the 30th International Exhibition “Prodexpo-2023”. The rector emphasized that the university is currently actively implementing programs for the targeted enrollment of students. From the graduates of this program, food industry enterprises form their personnel reserve. According to Kuchumov, this approach is useful both for enterprises and for the students themselves.
“A graduate knows exactly where he will work and is already preparing his graduation work directly at the enterprise where he will work after defending it,” he explained.
During his speech, Kuchumov also spoke about the importance of import substitution of equipment used in food production. According to him, this is necessary to ensure Russia’s food security. This issue is being addressed by specialists from various industries, who are, in particular, employees of Rosbiotech.
