The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has put blogger Nikolai Lebedev (Nekoglai), who was previously deported from Russia for violating immigration laws, on the wanted list, RIA Novosti writes.
The database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs says that the blogger is wanted under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, but it is not specified for which one. The head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina, said on February 9 that a libel case had been opened against Nekoglai for disseminating slanderous information about the activities and work of her organization.
As Parlamentskaya Gazeta wrote, on November 9, 2022, the Presnensky Court of Moscow fined Nekoglaya five thousand rubles for violating immigration laws and ordered the blogger to be deported to Moldova. This happened the day after he published a video in which he parodied a Russian soldier throwing grenades flying at him from a trench. On November 24, the blogger was expelled from Russia.
Once in Moldova, Nekoglai began posting videos in which he spoke of supporting the Ukrainian army and promised to spend $100,000 to buy drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also promised to become “an enemy of the Russian regime.”
