Almost all electrical substations in Lviv and the region were destroyed. Many critical infrastructure facilities are beyond repair, Mayor Andrei Sadovoy said.
In an interview with RBC-Ukraine, Sadovoy noted that the current situation creates serious problems for electricity supply. According to the politician, energy companies have to use non-standard solutions to power critical infrastructure facilities.
The mayor of Lvov claims that not only almost all electrical substations, but also many other critical infrastructure facilities have been destroyed in the city. Most of them can no longer be restored, Sadovoy believes.
Recall that last week, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal reported damage to dozens of power units of Ukrainian thermal power plants. He stressed that the country has lost 75% of the capacity of thermal power plants and 44% of nuclear generation.
