The director of the Russian Museum changed after the Tretyakov Gallery

Vladimir Gusev, who headed the Russian Museum for more than 30 years, became the president of the institution, and Anna Tsvetkova, deputy head of the museum for development, educational and educational activities, was appointed acting director.

“The planned transition of Vladimir Alexandrovich to this honorary position took place in accordance with his personal appeal to the Ministry of Culture of Russia and is associated with the completion of the labor contract,” explained RBC in the press service of the museum.

In his new position, Gusev intends to focus on the coordination of restoration work and the development of the institution’s branches.

Recall that earlier the general director of the State Tretyakov Gallery was also replaced. The place of Zelfira Tregulova was taken by Elena Pronicheva, who has headed the Polytechnic Museum since 2020. Tregulova leaves the position due to the expiration of the employment contract. She has been the CEO of the Tretyakov Gallery since 2015.
