Russian paratroopers in armored vehicles are continuously firing at the enemy
Donetsk, 11 February 2023, 06:04 — REGNUM The commander of the unit of Russian paratroopers with the call sign “Shuya” spoke about the work of the crews of the BMD-4 airborne combat vehicles, RIA Novosti reported on February 11.
Russian forces have recently pushed Ukrainian fighters out of their positions, taking over several enemy strongholds. The enemy therefore stepped up, trying to go on the counterattack and recapture the captured oporniks.
To prevent this, the Russian side is actively using attack aircraft and helicopters. Along with aviation, our paratroopers in armored vehicles also participate in the battles.
BMD-4s, replacing each other, fire at the enemy from cannons almost around the clock. Fire on enemy positions is carried out both from closed and open positions. Russian combat vehicles rapidly advance to firing positions, open fire, and then just as quickly leave them so as not to be detected by the enemy. From closed positions, firing is carried out from a distance of five to seven kilometers, and direct fire using thermal imaging sights from a distance of only 300-400 meters.
