The Chelyabinsk region entered the TOP-20 in the ranking of the quality of life of the regions. This was reported by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).
“The Chelyabinsk region is in 15th place among all Russian regions, its neighbors in the ranking are the Sverdlovsk region (14th place) and the Chuvash Republic (16th place). The data are based on the results of 2022,” the ASI said.
The first three places in the rating were occupied by Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Tyumen region. The Chelyabinsk region was not included in the TOP-20 of the previous rating compiled at the end of 2021.
The rating is compiled as part of the implementation of the National Social Initiative (NSI) – a set of regional and federal measures to improve the quality of life of Russians in ten different areas: medical care; education and development; housing and infrastructure; consumption and leisure; cleanliness and ecology; inclusion and equity; safety; social protection; public services and services; opportunities for work and business. The rating results were presented to Vladimir Putin on February 9.
