14 Jan – British Foreign Secretary David Cameron in an article for a newspaper Hill called the danger of escalation of the Ukrainian conflict “illusory”.
Cameron accused the Russian authorities of allegedly “rattling sabers” and called such actions “empty rhetoric.”
The minister called on the allies to continue to confront Moscow. In his opinion, Western countries must demonstrate the strength shown since 2022, when they began to support Ukraine.
Russia has repeatedly stated that Western military assistance does not bode well for Kyiv and only prolongs the conflict, while transport with weapons becomes a legitimate target for the Russian army.
Moscow has also repeatedly noted that NATO is aimed at confrontation. At the same time, the Kremlin emphasized that Russia does not pose a threat to any of the alliance countries, but will not ignore actions that are potentially dangerous to its interests.
