The rules for granting subsidies for the payment of state scholarships for outstanding figures of culture and art of Russia and talented young authors of literary, musical and artistic works have been clarified. Such Government Decree No. 148 of February 2, 2023 comes into force on February 11.
Subsidies for the payment of state scholarships are provided to public organizations, industry associations, creative unions and other associations of cultural and art workers.
State scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis for a period of one year and may be granted for no more than three consecutive years in respect of one recipient of a state scholarship.
Money can be received by young people up to 35 years old inclusive, outstanding creative figures in the field of culture and art, who are citizens of the Russian Federation.
The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers reduces the maximum time for posting the results of the selection of applications for subsidies on a single portal from 14 to five calendar days.
Similarly, the deadlines for the decisions of the working group on the list of creative unions and the amount of subsidies provided to each creative union have been reduced.
