With the launch of photo and video recording complexes in Moscow, the number of car thefts has decreased by 93%. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his Telegram channel.
According to his data, in 2012, 13 thousand cases of car theft were registered in the city. It was during this period that the installation of fixing devices began. In 2022, there were only 948 such incidents.
About 4,000 video cameras are currently operating in Moscow. They monitor compliance with traffic rules, and also help track the route of a stolen car.
