At the moment, people need common sense and a constructive position, Leonid Slutsky, head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, head of the Liberal Democratic Party, said at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by the press service of the Kremlin.
Presenting the faction’s initiatives to the head of state, he noted that breakthroughs are not needed at the moment. It is important to solve the tasks “that are really worth today”.
According to Slutsky, it is necessary to introduce a single package of support for volunteers and mobilized for all regions. “So that these are uniform norms,” he explained. In addition, it is important to support the creation of nursery groups for children from two months to one and a half years, “in order to encourage women to feel confident and fulfill their tasks in the field of demography,” the parliamentarian stressed.
Slutsky noted that the faction has other proposals: in the field of saving people, as well as those left over from Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
Putin, in response, suggested moving on to a discussion of proposals, which, in his words, “always have a specific, practical nature.”
