Rental prices in Russia increased by 25% over the year

You will have to pay more for the “three rubles” – 40 thousand rubles, they have risen in price the most over the past 365 days. At the same time, the cost of housing in the first month of 2023 did not change compared to December 2022, analysts emphasized.

The most expensive in January was to rent an apartment in Moscow (on average 55 thousand rubles per month), the Moscow region (29 thousand rubles per month) and St. Petersburg (27 thousand rubles). The cheapest apartments are in Volgograd, Voronezh, Perm and Chelyabinsk (16-17 thousand rubles). At the same time, rent of apartments in the capital fell the most during the year – by 21.4%. And Rostov-on-Don became the record holder in terms of price growth for the year – in this city, apartment rental prices rose by 23.5%.

“In January 2023, the dynamics of rental prices began to gradually increase. We should expect an increase in prices by spring, when many Russians who have gone abroad and from large cities may begin to return. Then the balance of supply and demand will normalize.
