Russian President Vladimir Putin may visit Indonesia in 2023 during one of the events of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Russian Ambassador to Jakarta Lyudmila Vorobyeva said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“Indonesia will host a number of important ASEAN events this year, including the East Asia Summit. We do not exclude – and I cannot say 100% here, but we do not exclude that, perhaps, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin will come to Indonesia, ”said Vorobyeva.
“Unfortunately, this visit did not take place last year, however, we have a package of documents ready that we could sign in the presence of two leaders, including a very important document, the Declaration on Strategic Partnership between our two countries, so that if such a visit takes place, then the declaration will be signed,” she added.
According to her, the President of Indonesia may also visit Russia.
“It is possible that the President Joko Widodo can visit our country, well, for example, as part of participation in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, ”said Vorobyeva.
