Prices are expected to rise by a total of 12,054 food items in 2023. The overall increase in food prices will be about 16% per year.

Experts believe that the trend to shift the increased cost of electricity, logistics and other costs to consumers will continue.

Prices for a wide range of commodities have risen since last summer as rising oil prices pushed up logistics costs. Rising electricity and gas bills are expected to push prices higher.
