At the end of 2022, according to Shulgin, about 43 thousand transit cargoes with the destination Russia and Belarus were blocked in the port of Rotterdam. The Russian Trade Representation in the Netherlands organized the delivery of goods to the recipients.

“In total, assistance was provided in relation to more than a hundred shipments,” Shulgin said.

As Shulgin explained, due to sanctions, the situation with cargo transportation between Russia and the Netherlands was very difficult. Direct flights between the countries have been suspended, trucks with Russian license plates have been banned from entering the EU, and Russian ships are not allowed to enter the ports of European countries.
