“So far no definite decisions have been made. The only thing that can be said is that, of course, one way or another, the Russian side will be adequately represented and will take part in the ceremony, which will take place at the end of April,” Dmitry Peskov said during a press call and stressed the importance of this project for the Russian- Turkish relations.

On the eve of March 29, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Vladimir Putin could visit Turkey to participate in the loading of nuclear fuel at the Akkuyu nuclear power plant on April 27. At the same time, the head of Turkey admitted that the Russian president could take part in the event in an online format. In 2018, Messrs. Putin and Erdogan launched the construction of a nuclear power plant together.
