Russia’s post-party to the UN Nebenzya: the batch of tanks promised by the West to Ukraine will not affect the course of the battles
New York, USA, February 9, 2023, 04:13 — REGNUM The transfer of hundreds of new tanks by the West to Ukraine will not affect the course of hostilities as part of Russia’s special military operation, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN said Vasily Nebenzya February 8 at a meeting of the Organization’s Security Council.
He recalled that since the beginning of the special operation, Russian troops have destroyed more than 7.5 thousand tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“If since the beginning of the special military operation a year ago we have already destroyed more than seven and a half thousand tanks available to Ukraine and supplied to it, then one hundred, two hundred, three hundred new tanks, as they say, will not make the weather”the diplomat said.
Nebenzya stressed that the purpose of the convened meeting is not limited to calls to stop the supply of Western weapons to Kyiv. At the same time, the permanent representative stressed that this issue is important “First of all, for Ukraine itself”.
He also added that Russia understands that as long as the Armed Forces of Ukraine can fight, the flow of weapons will not stop.
As reported IA REGNUMFebruary 8 Minister of National Defense and Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak said that Germany decided to transfer too few Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and this disappoints Warsaw.
