WASHINGTON, 21 Feb – American billionaire Elon Musk ridiculed FBI approaches to the investigation into US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden.
He attached a humorous picture to the post in which a woman in the uniform of an FBI agent looks at a wall with photographs allegedly from Hunter Biden’s laptop, which supposedly depict facts of his use of drugs and contacts with ladies of easy virtue, next to the presidential son himself, naked, also from one of the photographs, he asks: “See anything?” The “FBI agent” looking at the damaging photographs replies: “Not yet.”
The day before, CNN reported that, according to prosecutors, an FBI informant said during interrogations that he allegedly received compromising information on Hunter Biden from “Russian intelligence.” A television channel sympathetic to the Democratic Party hastened to use this information to devalue the information discrediting the president’s son. The accused informant allegedly told prosecutors about “recent and extensive” contacts with foreign intelligence, the TV channel reported.
Earlier, the US Department of Justice charged 43-year-old Smirnov on two counts, including transmitting false information discrediting the dignity of others. The indictment states that in June 2020, Smirnov told law enforcement officers that several years earlier he had received information from top managers of the Ukrainian company Burisma about allegedly hiring Hunter Biden and bribing both him and his father “to protect against all kinds of problems.”
According to the accused, it was assumed that Biden Sr. would use his official influence to achieve the termination of the ongoing investigation into the company, as well as “to deal with the then Prosecutor General of Ukraine,” the Ministry of Justice reported.
Smirnov was detained by authorities on February 14 at the Las Vegas airport, where he arrived by plane from abroad. The maximum penalty facing the man in this case is 25 years in prison.
As reported, the Oversight Committee of the US House of Representatives is looking for evidence of the involvement of American leader Joe Biden in the business transactions of his relatives, who allegedly traded his name around the world. Lawmakers insist that such behavior raises questions of corruption and are investigating the American leader as part of the impeachment proceedings.
In October 2020, the New York Post published a series of emails to Hunter Biden, which mentioned that he represented his father, when he was vice president of the United States, to his employers at the Ukrainian firm Burisma. Former US President Donald Trump claimed that Biden Jr. received millions of dollars for lobbying work to “sell” access to his father. The correspondence was allegedly found on Hunter Biden’s laptop, which was found in a repair shop in Delaware.
US House of Representatives member Marjorie Taylor Greene previously showed “indecent” photos of US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter in Congress. The congresswoman said that the photographs, which were partially “censored” for presentation in Congress, were taken from video recordings that Biden Jr. himself recorded.
