Earlier, the wives and mothers of those mobilized from Tatarstan turned to the head of the republic, Rustam Minnikhanov. They complained that their relatives, who serve in military unit 29655 (regiment 1231), were seconded to one of the units of the army in the DPR, and by order of the command they were sent to storm with practically no weapons, and the territory before the storm was not cleared of mines.
