MINSK, April 9 – The Ministry of Industry of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia are developing a mechanism for implementing the agreement on a common industrial policy, said the Minister of Industry of the Republic Alexander Rogozhnik.
“The Ministry of Industry of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia are developing a mechanism for the implementation of two strategically important intergovernmental agreements for the industry of the Union State on the recognition of technological operations and on the implementation of a unified industrial policy,” the ministry’s press service quoted Rogozhnik as saying on the agency’s website.
The implementation of the documents is carried out through the interaction of the relevant working groups created by the parties, Rogozhnik noted. According to him, the main goal of these agreements is to ensure the coordinated work of the industries of the two countries. “Joint interaction within the framework of the signed agreements provides, first of all, for the maximum involvement in the cooperation process of industrial enterprises of the member states of the Union in order to increase import independence and ensure the technological sovereignty of the Union State, in the development of effective mechanisms for financing and implementation of such cooperation projects, their support from states, as well as in the development of scientific and technical cooperation,” the message says.
It is emphasized that “the implementation of the agreements is aimed at creating a single industrial space and uniting the material and intellectual potentials of industrial enterprises.” “Today, this is especially relevant in the current conditions, when sanctions are applied to the two countries by unfriendly countries and there are refusals to work on the part of foreign suppliers of technologies and components,” the message says, citing the words of the minister.
It notes that the cooperation of industrial enterprises of the Union State in the field of cooperation is of a long-term nature, especially in the field of mechanical engineering. “At the same time, the potential of this area and the existing competencies are far from being exhausted. Further effective development and creation of mutually beneficial cooperation ties and a competitive non-discriminatory environment in the markets of industrial products of the two countries are envisaged,” it says.
