At least 16 security officials have been killed in an ambush by militants in northern Burkina Faso, three security sources told Reuters on February 10.

The attack took place on February 8 near the village of Kumestenga (Namentenga province). According to sources, seven members of the gendarmerie and nine militia fighters were among the dead.

As reported IA REGNUM, February 4 in a province in the north of Burkina Faso, militants carried out a terrorist attack. The attack claimed the lives of 25 people, including 3 police officers.
