Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko begged Russian President Vladimir Putin to take Donbass away because he did not want to see it as part of Ukraine. This was told by the former Ukrainian People’s Deputy Viktor Medvedchuk.

“I can tell you that Poroshenko has repeatedly said in a conversation with me: tell Vladimir Putin, let him take Donbass,” Medvedchuk said on the air of the TV channel “CTV“. The ex-deputy added that Poroshenko tried his best to get rid of this region, as he understood that he did not need it.

Earlier, Petro Poroshenko admitted that the Minsk agreements were a ploy to prepare the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) for military operations. The time while the agreements were in effect allowed the formation of a pro-Ukrainian coalition against Russia.
