Mahindra was the fourth bestseller company in January 2023 after Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Tata Motors. The company posted a YoY sales growth of 66 per cent at 33,040 units as compared to 19,860 units sold in January 2022. MoM sales also improved by 17 per cent as compared to 28,333 units sold in December 2022. The automaker currently has a market share of 9.6 per cent.

Mahindra Scorpio and Bolero led the company’s sales last month along with XUV700 and XUV300. Scorpio (N+Classic) sales stood at 8,715 units last month, up 188 per cent from the 3,026 units sold in January 2022. MOM sales also improved by 24 per cent as compared to 7,003 units sold in December 2022.

Mahindra Bolero has also registered good YoY and MoM growth in Jan 2023. Last month’s sales stood at 8,574 units, which was 145 per cent higher than the 3,506 units sold in January 2022. MoM sales improved by 17 per cent to 7,311 units sold in December 2022.

XUV700 at number 3 on the sales chart

At number 3 on the sales chart was the XUV700 with 5,787 units sold in January 2023. This was a growth of 40 per cent as compared to 4,119 units sold in January 2022, while MoM sales improved by 3 per cent from 5,633 units sold in December 2022. XUV700 sales recently started in Nepal, where the Scorpio Classic, XUV300 and Bolero Power Plus are also on sale.

XUV300 at number-4

Another top seller in the company lineup is the XUV300. Sales are expected to increase by 18 percent to 5,390 units in January 2023 from 4,550 units sold in January 2022. MoM sales saw a growth of 11 per cent as compared to 4,850 units sold in December 2022. Mahindra XUV300 was at number 4.

Tata Nexon on number-5

The Tata Nexon is ranked number 5 in the sub-4 meter SUV segment, competing against the likes of Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. The market share in this segment stood at 10.65 per cent.

Mahindra Thar RWD waiting period 1.5 years

The waiting period for Mahindra Thar RWD is 1.5 years. Mahindra Thar is also an important model in the company lineup. However, it faced a year-on-year decline. Sales in January 2023 stood at 4,410 units, down 5 percent from 4,646 units sold in January 2022. MoM sales improved by 31 per cent as compared to 3,374 units sold in December 2022.

Mahindra Thar 4X2 Deliveries Begin

Mahindra has started the deliveries of the new Thar 4X2. It also comes with a waiting period of up to 18 months, while buyers can expect delivery of the 4X4 variant within 4 weeks. The price of 2023 Mahindra Thar 4×2 RWD variant ranges from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra will launch the Thar 5 door variant later this year.

How many units of Mahindra Marazzo were sold?
Mahindra Marazzo also sold 164 units last month, down 4 percent from 171 units sold in December 2022. 1 unit was sold as 0 units in January 2022 and December 2022 respectively.
