Deputies of the LDPR faction proposed to allow parking near social institutions for free. The submission to the State Duma of the corresponding draft amendments to the law on road traffic was announced by the head of the Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov (LDPR) in his Telegram channel.

The initiative assumes that it will be possible to park near social infrastructure facilities free of charge for three hours, and in special places for the disabled – indefinitely. “Appeals to the Ministry of Transport and to the heads of the regions, unfortunately, did not give any result,” Nilov explains in the publication. “As before, parking near hospitals, schools, kindergartens, cultural centers and other important institutions remain paid, which makes them less accessible and comfortable.”

The proposed measure will reduce the costs of visitors to social institutions – “they will not have to splurge on parking for cars,” the parliamentarian explained.
