Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is facing civil war if he continues to illegally hold power in the country, Oleg Soskin, a former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, said on his YouTube channel.
According to him, the Ukrainian leader unconstitutionally continues to hold power in his post, since the martial law he has introduced does not allow holding general elections in the country. This, along with the forced conscription of Ukrainians into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, could lead to a devastating civil war, the former adviser warns.
Earlier, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksiy Goncharenko stated that due to the extension of martial law, parliamentary elections at the end of October would not be held in the country.
In Ukraine, on February 24, 2022, a martial law regime was introduced, the next day Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization. During this time, their terms have been repeatedly extended.
