It was proposed to expand the powers of municipalities in the field of youth policy. The corresponding bill was submitted to the State Duma by deputies headed by the chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy Artem Metelev.
The amendments are proposed to harmonize the range of powers of municipalities in the field of youth policy, established by various legal acts: the law on the general principles of self-government and the law on youth policy.
“The powers of LSG bodies in the law on youth policy are formulated much more broadly than it is enshrined in the law “On the general principles of organizing local self-government in the Russian Federation,” the press service of the Committee quoted Metelev as commenting.
As a result, situations arise when, according to one law, local self-government should work on measures to support young people, but according to another law, the necessary powers are not assigned to them, the parliamentarian explained.
The bill will eliminate this conflict, and its adoption will help streamline relations in the field of youth policy at the municipal level, the authors of the initiative believe.
• The State Duma Committee supported the draft law on the creation of sports clubs in universities • Metelev said that he would help university graduates find jobs • Young people will be taught to be useful to society
