Russian Ambassador: Iran Khodro intends to deliver 2,000 cars to Russia by the end of March
Tehran, February 9, 2023, 08:54 — REGNUM Two thousand cars are going to be delivered to Russia by the end of March 2023 by the Iranian automaker Iran Khodro, and the Saipa company – over 20 thousand cars annually. The Russian Ambassador to Iran spoke about this on February 9 Alexey Dedov.
“The plans of the largest auto concern Iran Khodro (“Iran Khodro”) include the supply of two thousand cars of its own production to Russia by the end of the Iranian calendar year 1401, which corresponds to March 20, 2023”– he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Dedov also clarified that the Iranian company Saipa is currently negotiating with distributors from the Russian Federation on the topic of supplying more than 20,000 cars to our country every year.
At the same time, the Russian Ambassador drew attention to the fact that at the moment the issues with certification and the formation of a network of dealers have not been resolved, due to which the dates of deliveries of Iranian cars to the Russian market may shift.
In addition, he added that at the moment the Russian and Iranian sides are negotiating the possibility of joint production of automobiles and components for motor vehicles.
As reported IA REGNUMEarlier, Russian Ambassador to Iran Alexei Dedov said that Tehran’s position regarding Crimea and new Russian regions would not affect relations between Iran and Russia and the development of cooperation between the two countries.
