The YaNAO authorities announced the death of the former chief architect of the region, Vladimir Ustenko, in Tyumen. As reported on the website of the regional depstroitelstva, the man has worked in the bodies of architecture and urban planning for more than 30 years.

“The Department of Construction and Housing Policy of the Autonomous Okrug regrets to announce that at the age of 75 (02/11/2023) the heart of Vladimir Alexandrovich Ustenko stopped. <...> He worked in the architecture and urban planning authorities for more than 31 years, ”the message says.

It is noted that for 21 years Ustenko was the chief architect of Yamal, was engaged in the design and development of the region. Participated in the creation of the plan of the administrative center and designed the buildings in the villages. He retired in 2004 and moved to Tyumen. During his lifetime, Ustenko was awarded honorary titles, including the Honorary Architect of Russia.
