In Turkey, a man was pulled out from the rubble almost seven days after the earthquake


Rescuers pulled a man out of the rubble in Turkey 160 hours after the earthquake. Rescuers from Russia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan took part in the operation to extract it.

The work lasted more than four hours at night with a risk to life due to the possibility of collapse of structures, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reported in Telegram. Doctors of the Russian department provided first aid to the victim “directly inside the rubble.” The victim was hospitalized.

Russian rescuers are involved in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria. As of February 12, they have rescued five people in Turkey and three people in Syria.

An earthquake with an epicenter in Turkey occurred on the night of February 6. The number of victims in Turkey is more than 29.6 thousand people, in Syria – 8.5 thousand. According to the Confederation of Entrepreneurs and Representatives of the Turkish Business Circle, the damage to the Turkish economy is $ 84 billion – 10% of GDP.
