Rostov-on-Don, February 14, 2023, 16:36 — REGNUM A court in the Rostov region sentenced a local resident to four years in prison for setting fire to the military enlistment office building. This was reported on February 14 by the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the region.
The court found that in May 2022, a resident of the city of Gukovo, via the Internet, agreed with an unidentified person to participate in the arson of the military registration and enlistment office for three thousand rubles.
It is specified that on the night of May 13, the convict, together with another person, set fire to the military enlistment office and fled the scene.
The case file states that on May 15, a 19-year-old suspect was detained by law enforcement officers, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of hooliganism and attempted deliberate destruction of someone else’s property.
The Gukovsky City Court of the Rostov Region found the accused guilty and sentenced him to four years in prison in a penal colony.
