In the Chelyabinsk region, 69 classes in 17 schools were transferred to distance learning. Svetlana Luchinina, deputy head of Rospotrebnadzor for the region, reported this to URA.RU on September 18.

“As of September 13, due to the high incidence of ARVI, the educational process in 69 classes of 17 schools was partially suspended. Among students, 417 cases of ARVI were registered, which is 27.3% of the total number of children sent to quarantine,” Luchinina noted to URA.RU.

The deputy head of the department also clarified that in the Krasnoarmeysky district there are no new cases of meningococcal infection. It was reported on September 11 that a school student in the village of Oktyabrsky was infected with viral meningitis. The institution is currently taking anti-epidemic measures.
