In Russia, the rules for including programs in the register of domestic software will be simplified

The government has submitted a draft law to the State Duma proposing to expand the list of requirements for copyright holders who can apply for inclusion in the register of Russian software. The document was published in the electronic database of the State Duma.

According to the bill, it will be possible to include in the register products of domestic companies whose shares are traded on Russian stock exchanges. This measure will improve the quality of import substitution and create an incentive for Russian IT companies to enter the stock exchange, and will attract additional investment.

In addition, the developments of state bodies and state corporations intended exclusively for internal use will be included in the register.

The bill also proposes to include information about Russian software and hardware systems in the register so that they can receive tax benefits.
