In Karachay-Cherkessia, rescuers had to be involved because of an accident on a cable car in the village of Dombay. As a result of the line stop, 36 passengers hovered above the ground. Tourists were assisted in descending from the cable car. There were no casualties, the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on February 12.

The incident occurred in the afternoon on the fifth stage of the chairlift in the resort village. At the time of the stop there was no wind, which contributed to a fairly quick evacuation by rescuers of tourists who found themselves in a difficult situation. At the same time, the air temperature at such a height is quite noticeable, given that the double-seat cable car is of an open type.
