It’s no secret that Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have been ‘feuding’ for years – and once again the soon-to-be co-stars are hashing it out on social media.
This morning, Jackman, 54, shared a photo of himself lifting weights in the gym on Instagram, making sure to tag Reynolds, 46, in the photo so he couldn’t miss the swipe.
“He’s only 46. I’m older. But it’s not a competition,” Jackman wrote, seemingly in reference to Reynolds’ strength.

Reynolds was quick to respond to the slight, re-sharing Jackman’s post to his Instagram Story alongside the message, “Kay, I’m drinking milk.”
While the pair have a history of publicly taking shots at each other and trolling each other with pranks, the reality is that they’re close friends behind closed doors.
It all started just before Reynolds revived his role as Deadpool in 2016.
Jackman, who plays Wolverine in the Marvel comic film franchise, has previously said he’s struggled to remember the specifics, but he does know it has something to do with Reynolds’ ex-wife Scarlett Johansson, who also stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was married to Reynolds from 2008 to 2011.
Reynolds is now married to Blake Lively, with whom he shares three children.

“It’s gone back so long now… God, this is a classic sign where your feud has gone too long, where you don’t even know why or how it started!” Jackman previously told the Daily Beast.
”I met him back on Wolverine, and I used to ream him because I was very close friends with Scarlett.
“Scarlett had just married Ryan, so when he came on set I was like, ‘Hey, you better be on your best behaviour here, pal, because I’m watching’, and we started ribbing each other that way,” he said.

After Reynolds re-nabbed the Deadpool role, which some fans consider to be a rival for Jackman’s Wolverine in terms of popularity, Jackman said things “escalated”.
The pair became known for their Christmas bickering in 2018, when Jackman and fellow actor Jake Gyllenhaal told Reynolds their Christmas shindig was an ugly sweater party.
To the Deadpool actor’s surprise, he was the only one to show up in dress code, telling fans, “These a–holes told me it was a sweater party.”
Over Christmas in 2022, Jackman once again didn’t miss his chance to troll Reynolds, sharing a clip on Instagram accusing Reynolds of a ‘home invasion’.
Most recently, Jackman virtually begged the Academy not to nominate his best mate Reynolds for an Oscar.
The duo are set to co-star in the upcoming Deadpool 3.
